Where and When?

I'll go first,

I got my OQO model 02 (Best) on May 18, 2007. I live in Taipei, Taiwan and I got mine to help me stay connected wherever I go. Over the past few months, I've had my OQO with me wherever I go and have found it incredibly convenient to pull it put, bring it out of standby, get some information, and tap the power button as I put it back into my bag.

I am awaiting my OQO 02 1.6GHz, 80Gb HD, EVDO rev. A Which i ordered about two weeks ago when i also became a reseller of OQOs. I have been doing a lot of reading and watching peoples videos. Can't wait to put my OQO to use. I have been researching ways to mount it to my motorcycle and in my car to use as a GPS, music player, etc. I will use it mainly for work though.

I haven't really started promoting this group yet, but I think I'll have to start soon, especially since the recent upgrade and model e2 launch. I'll have a little chat with the folks from OQO and see what we can do to get the word out to more OQO owners.

Just got my e2 last week. I live in Norfolk, UK. I do a lot of video filming and travelling around the UK so I wanted a device that was more than a PDA or Smartphone to carry with me. But a laptop is just to much weight when you already have filming equipment to carry esp. as I fly or use the train as often as possible.

The e2 looks like just the ticket.

I want to get my hands on a machine. I will be going for the configuration 3 http://www.oqo.com/intl/intl_media/e2_specsheet.pdf

Can you comment on a few of my concerns though.

1. Is the fan really noisy. Every demo I have seen so far I can hear the fan. If you are in a meeting or conference this would be not good. Web cam capability would have been good.

2. No one has covered the 3G capability. Can I just plug my 3G SIM in it for use.

3. Features of the Digitized Pen.

4. No Manual, is there a proper guide on a CD packaged. A quick start is so poor.

5. Is there a built in Mic, I would like to use Skype.

6. I saw a demo and the OQO took 20 minutes to start up from unpacking.. Tell
me boot up time is quick under normal use.

7. Automatic Rotate capability, is this available. I have seen demo's of the Rotate Feature.

Things I would like to be OQO to improve.
1. Include the Digitized Pen, or at least provide a way to store with the machine.

2. Provide webcam, OQO should be ahead of the WiBrain machine
